Abstract

The dual hesitant fuzzy soft set (DHFSS), a hybrid structure of a dual hesitant fuzzy set and a soft set, is highly effective in handling membership and non-membership values using a set of possible values. This article explores an entirely different application of DHFSS for representing preliminary data involved in decision-making problems. Moreover, an innovative measure for comparing DHFSSs, namely the Dominance Index, which determines the dominance of one DHFSS over another, is presented. Furthermore, a linear algebraic approach, integrated with the Dominance Index of a dual hesitant fuzzy element, is proposed for solving decision-making problems. Finally, a real-life decision-making problem involving the evaluation of mobile tower work sites based on the performance of their workers is presented and solved using the proposed method to demonstrate its applicability.
